When a console fails...

I bet we're all waiting for the new generation of home console, PS4 and XBox One looks amazing and they promise wonders.

Still, I want to spend some words on two current gen consoles, that are hardly trying to get more audience but somehow they just don't seem to interest anybody.

I'm talking about the Wii U and PSVita, who failed to meet the expectations of their creators in the short run and their future is definitely not bright...

Wii U is a relatively old system, slighty more powerful than the current gen home consoles, but the major game companies are now focused on the next gen, making it hard to develop software for it, and also including special controls for their tablet/controller.

PSVita is a powerful handled, but it lacks INTERESTING software: most of his games are porting or remakes of PS3 games and the really interesting exclusives are not enough to sell the system.

Both Nintendo and Sony are trying to fix those things, each with his own methods: Nintendo is trying to gain supports from the 3rd parties to develop their multiplatform games on their console too, while developing games from their most famous franchises, instead Sony recently announced a new PSVita version, trying to appeal at a wider audience.

Personally, I highly doubt they will be able to fix their troubles only with those choices, but, in all fairness, I guess PSVita is in a better position, Sony clearly wanted to push the sales of the console, offering a price cut and a cheaper more interesting version.

I hope that Nintendo will find a way to get up too: their home console might not be the best, but there are indeed interesting games, like Dragon Quest X, The Wonderful 101, the upcoming Bayonetta 2 and several Nintendo games and they need to be acknowledged.

What's your opinion in it, let me know!

Animal Crossing stole my life

Well, it happened x3

I'm so focused on "Animal Crossing: New Leaf" that I almost forgot I have a blog, it's that good

The interesting thing is that the game is not THAT special, it's really a basic, almost childish, life simulation game.

But the incredible amount of things to buy to customize your house, to build in the city and to buy for yourself is really impressive.

The online multiplay is also well done, sometimes I go online with it only for being able to chat with friends (something that the 3DS itself lacks).

So yea, this game it's so simple in his concept, it's impossible not to love it x3

And I have still to finish "Fire Emblem: Awakening"...I'm afraid it'll have to wait a lot xD

E3 impressions

Well guys, you know it, E3 is gone and we were able to see a lot of stuff, both good and bad, awesome and terrible, "OHMYFUCKINGGODTHATSAWESOME" and "WHATTHEFUCKISTHISSHIT".

I'll try to sum my thoughts on the main conferences and then give my personal "awards" to the games and the events that happened.

The third option

In a world where Europeans are playing their newly released "Persona 4 Arena" or where the 2-digit amout of people who own PSVita are grinding their social links in "Persona 4 the Golden", I decided to take the third option

Yup, I found and bought at a super reasonable price, "Persona 4" for PS2, PAL-ITA version, new and complete with bonus soundtrack CD, lucky me x3

(And yes, I didn't own the game...untill now, so, yay again, one more j-RPG added to the list x3)

New PS2 games acquired x3

Thanks to a friend, I got two new games for my PS2 still working and still blessing me with awesome games x3

This time I got my hands on "Odin Sphere" and "Tokobot plus: Mysteries of the Karakuri".

The first one is a side-scrolling action game with a bit of RPG elements and some gorgeous graphic, the second one is a platform puzzle game and an expanded port from the PSP.

I'm sure I'll have fun with both of it x3

Got a new game x3

He he, I went to the game shop to check some games, and saw "Crisis Core" at an absolutely low price, and decided to buy it.

Yup, that's right, I didn't had that game ^_^''
I had it borrowed from a friend, but never possessed it...well, better now than never, so, yay for Zack adventures, I'm sure the guy will have a bright future ahead ^^

...Oh wait...

Happy Monday to all, just like the past week, it's time for another battle theme, this time from "The Last Remnant".

Monday Music: Final Fantasy XIII - Blinded by Light

Starting from now, every monday, I'll give you a video featuring a battle theme from an RPG, either an official or a fan-remix.

I want to start with a big shot: a remix from the basic battle theme from Final Fantasy XIII "Blinded by Light"...my god it's amazing!!!

Not only it's wonderfully done, but it also fits in the original game soundtrack!
Go watch and fave these guys other works, they're awesome!
